First exhibition in the world created for dogs

It is known that the dogs feel the music, and if good music. With art, pet owners cannot interact with our friends. But this new exhibition can change this.

Love for art. Dog show

British insurance company More Than has presented an art exhibition for dogs created by renowned British artist and inventor Dominic Wilcox.

This versatile artist, among many other things, draws, paints and makes inventions worthy of any mad scientist. He has devised from some GPS shoes that guide the user straight home (perfect for one of those party nights) to a bi-audio device to listen to urban sounds separately and 3D printers.

A curious display for dogs

This exhibition for dogs is a reflection of the “controlled madness” of this artist. An interactive exhibit / installation that includes a car window simulator has been called “Cruising Canines.” When they see it, the dogs poke their heads out as they have the sensation of being in motion.

There is also a gigantic dog bowl filled with balls that bears the name “Dinnertime Dreams (the immediate reaction of dogs is to immediately jump for a ball), and even impressionist canvases of a certain level.

The Dog Show has recently been presented in London. In one corner of the exhibit there is an area of artificial grass from which water flows. The dogs run and walk around thinking they are in the park.

Author’s opinion

According to Dominic Wilcox himself, animals can appreciate his works as much as music, since they have been painted with colors such as blue and yellow, which are totally visible to them.

Dogs are said to have less developed eyesight than we do to see details well. And it is that the vision of dogs is five times poorer than that of human beings.

The doggy vision

Where a person may be able to distinguish an object or a toy from 90 meters away, the dog will need to be 20 meters from it to perceive it.

Also, the spectrum of colors visible to dogs is much smaller than what we have. Dogs have been shown to see the world in two basic shades: blue and yellow. And that can be demonstrated in an exhibition for furry people.

Our furry friends are unable to differentiate between green, red, and orange, and they do not see color blind people much differently.

Experts say that dogs are capable of recognizing images on the screen. They can even distinguish other animals that they have never seen in their life, as well as different sounds from the TV, such as barking, voices, etc.

Among a crowd of people who may appear on the screen, a dog can visually distinguish other dogs that are among the people.

A quicker look

It is said that the eyes of dogs capture images more quickly than ours, so for them on old televisions, those that showed fewer frames per second, they could not see anything. The same is not the case with the resolution of modern televisions.

The breed or personality of the dog also has a lot to do with it. In this way, Terrier-type dogs can react more to television images than Hounds, who are most motivated by the smell, not the sight.

Hunting dogs, who are guided by smell, do not usually pay interest to images. On the other hand, so-called sheepdogs, such as terriers, are attracted to what they see on your TV screen, remember that.

If we intend to do a test with television programs and our dog, it may be that we see nothing but coldness. It does not mean that our pet is insensitive, but it must be content specifically created for them.

Hearing a dog bark on television usually excites other spectating canines. Some not only bark at the furry ones that appear on the screen, but also run after the device, looking for them.
