There are multiple advantages of sharing culinary tastes with dogs, especially in terms of their quality of life. Dog and salad

Pasta and sea dog salad

Ingredients:

  • Pasta
  • Frozen fish
  • Crab sticks
  • Spinach
  • Carrots
  • Apple

Elaboration:

  1. Cook the pasta, carrots and spinach. Let it cook well.
  2. Once the previous mixture is cooked, add the fish chosen for this dish.
  3. Mix everything together, drain it well and let it cool down to room temperature.
  4. Then, once at the right temperature, add the crab sticks and the diced apple.
  5. Mix well until the ingredients are combined.
  6. Finally, if you like, you can add a touch of carrot zest to the salad.
  7. It is ready for the dog to enjoy a fresh and delicious salad.

Pasta salad for dogs

Rice salad with assorted vegetables

Ingredients:

  • Preferred protein: chicken, meat, tuna (500 grams)
  • 2 cups of brown rice
  • 1 cup of broccoli
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 5 cups water or broth without seasonings
  • 3 potatoes

Elaboration:

  1. Wash all the vegetables : broccoli, carrots, spinach, and sweet potatoes.
  2. Peel the carrots and potatoes.
  3. Clean the spinach.
  4. Next, dice the broccoli, carrots and potatoes. Do the same with the protein, be it meat, chicken or tuna.
  5. Then  add all the vegetables to a saucepan. Also incorporate the proteins, the rice and the broth.
  6. Cook over medium heat for 45 minutes.
  7. Once cooked, let the preparation rest.
  8. Mix again and serve it at room temperature.

Sautéed sardines and vegetables salad

Ingredients :

  • 5 potatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • 3 clean sardines (without bones or skin)
  • 2 sticks of celery
  • 1 cup of brown rice
  • 6 cups of water

Elaboration:

  1. Clean the sardines very well,  so that no bones or skin remain.
  2. Chop the two celery sticks.
  3. Cut the rest of the vegetables into small cubes.
  4. Place a pot with the water over medium heat.
  5. Add all the ingredients and cook for 45 minutes.
  6. Once finished, let it rest, cool and serve.

Fruit salad

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups of papaya
  • Two cups of watermelon
  • 4 bananas
  • 1 apple
  • A melon
  • 1 liter of watermelon juice (optional)

Elaboration:

  1. Clean the fruits by removing all the seeds.
  2. Once clean, cut all the fruits into cubes.
  3. If you like, you can add a liter of watermelon juice to make this salad even more delicious.
  4. Ready to serve.

Salads for dogs: fish and asparagus

Ingredients:

  • Green or white asparagus (to taste)
  • Clean fish (no bones)
  • Eggs (to taste)
  • Carrot
  • Zucchini
  • Mushrooms

Elaboration:

  1. First, check that the fish has no bones. If you have, take them off.
  2. Then cook the fish and drain it.
  3. Sauté the zucchini, mushrooms and fish in oil.
  4. Next, beat the eggs and make a scramble with all the cooked ingredients.
  5. Finally, add the asparagus and carrot grated to the still hot mixture.
  6. Let stand and cool before serving.

Tuna and vegetable salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice of skinless tuna or 1 can of tuna
  • 2 sticks of celery
  • Two carrots
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

Elaboration:

  1. If you choose a slice of tuna, make sure it is skinless before cooking. In any case, a can of tuna will go perfectly.
  2. Dice the celery, carrots and potatoes.
  3. Cook the vegetables and let them cool. The concept of ‘ al dente ‘ is not used by our pets, so it is best if the vegetables are soft and well cooked.
  4. Once everything is cold, mix the vegetables with the tuna and add the teaspoon of olive oil.
  5. Let stand and serve another interesting sample of salads for dogs.
