The Crow As A Pet, Complete Insanity?

For some, a demon animal, for others it is a simple animal, but there are those who adopt crows as their best friends. The truth is that the crow as a pet or companion animal dates back many centuries.

One detail with crows is that they are able to open their own cages and get out on their own. This means that it is not an animal for small homes; it can grow up to 70 centimeters in height in its largest species, with a wingspan of about 150 centimeters.

Benefits of the crow as a pet

If you have managed to raise a crow as a pet, you will have many advantages in contrast to other birds. Crows are hunting animals, so they will help keep insects out of your home.

A very particular characteristic of crows is that they repeat more words than parrots. That’s right, crows have a great capacity for learning human words and they manage to develop the association of their meanings in certain cases.
